Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected
Code P0304 confirms that cylinder 4 is misfiring. In 4-cylinder engines, cylinder 4 is the rear-most cylinder furthest from the radiator. Most commonly caused by a worn spark plug, failing coil-on-plug (COP) unit, or leaky valve cover gasket pooling oil into the plug tube.
Pull cylinder 4 ignition coil. If the rubber boot is soaked in engine oil, replace the valve cover tube seals and spark plug. If dry, swap the coil with cylinder 1 to verify a dead coil.
